About Makan Place

With its name taken from the word “Makan” or eat, in Indonesian language and its philosophy that sharing is caring, sharing a dish or two is made simple, here at Makan Place. Our generous portions of Western and Asian cuisines are hard to resist. Try our take on the traditional 800-gram Balinese Crackling Pork Knuckle or Grilled Catch of The Day, while vegetarians can delight in our vast selections of Salad Bowls. Its creative selection of beverages and cocktails, is also one of the reasons why Makan Place is vastly becoming favourite dining destination in Legian.

The Chef

Meet Theodorus Imannuel, the man cooking up a storm in Makan Place. His passion for cooking took him to kitchens across the globe, such as China, Dubai, and London – even a stint in the production of the renowned “MasterChef Indonesia” series. We invite you to fall in love with his brilliant dishes.
